Altranft celebrates twice!

On January 20, 2025, Altranft officially took over the baton for hosting the 20th Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival. The ceremonial handover took place during the Brandenburg Day at the Green Week in Berlin. The festival will be held on September 20, 2025 in Altranft.

Conny Gebhardt, head of Altranft, and Mayor Ralf Lehmann accepted the baton and presented the village together with local associations on the show stage of the Brandenburg Hall. They were supported by the band "Lothar and the Machines", the historical figure "Graf von Hacke" as a historical figure and the dance department of the traditional club "Fröhlich und unbeschwert". Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH, the fire protection association and the Oderbruch Museum were also represented and contributed to the presentation of the festival.

In addition to the Brandenburg Village and Harvest Festival, there is another highlight on the program: From 19 to 21 September, Altranft celebrates 650 years of its first mention. On the occasion of this double anniversary, visitors can expect an extended festival program with cultural, historical and entertaining events.

We are looking forward to delighting visitors with a varied program that combines the traditions, history and future of our region," emphasizes Silke Smilgies, Managing Director of Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH.

Preparations for the festival weekend are already in full swing. Martin Koschnitzki, Event Manager at Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH, is responsible for the organization and is working closely with local associations and the town council to plan a varied programme for guests from near and far.

The Altranft district is looking forward to welcoming numerous guests on the third weekend of September 2025.
