Reading the newspaper, writing messages to nursery or school, sending emails – many people find it difficult. Almost one in eight people in Frankfurt (Oder) has difficulty reading and writing.
On Friday, September 13, 2024, the ALFA-Mobil will be on Platz der Republik in front of Kaufland from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. to raise awareness of the issue. In Frankfurt, the basic education center of the adult education center helps adults to improve their reading and writing skills.
Learning expert Tina Fidan from Berlin will be on site with the ALFA-Mobil. As a person affected, she reports from her own experience on the challenge of deciding to continue learning.
The team from the Basic Education Centre Frankfurt (Oder) is available to talk to interested parties to explain the available offers and raise awareness of the topic. You can also find out about longer-term volunteer support.
