Health is fun! Seventeen children from the Bad Freienwalde daycare center "Sonnenschein" found that out on Tuesday. The three- and four-year-old girls and boys were on their health day in the Mühlenfließaue on the road and experienced there lots of adventures.
While walking barefoot, they literally felt nature up close, and treading water on the Kneipp path also became great fun with the singing of water rhymes.
How good the walk through the cold water, barefoot running and in general moving in the fresh air are, was explained to them by Stephanie Glocke, who is responsible for health tourism at Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH. "Children are curious and always willing to try things out. The Mühlenfließaue is an ideal place for this, here you can bring the topic of health closer to the youngest in a playful way," says the trained health and prevention consultant. Children could develop so an awareness of body and nature and strengthen their self-confidence.
"Bad Freienwalde is the oldest health resort in Brandenburg," adds Ilka Krüger, the managing director of Bad Freienwalde Tourismus GmbH, "that alone obliges us to be a health center for everyone. The children are particularly close to our hearts, they can learn at a young age how important a healthy lifestyle is for their own well-being. We are glad that we have such an ideal opportunity for this with the Mühlenfließaue."
