The most wonderful time of the year is just around the corner and some people can hardly wait for the Advent season. The Seenland Oder-Spree Tourism Association is shortening the waiting time this year and invites guests and locals alike to plan an eventful pre-Christmas season in advance.
From December 1 to 24, Brandenburg's largest travel region invites you on a very special journey of discovery. Behind every door of the Advent calendar on the website seenland-oderspree.de you will find unique experiences, offers and inspiration: whether special guided tours, exclusive museum visits, magical Christmas activities or culinary highlights - every day holds a new and special activity from the Berlin region to the Oder border, from Scharmützelsee to Schlaubetal.
The focus is on getting to know special people with their interesting stories and discovering exciting places. Be it the organist in Müllrose, who knows her favorite instrument inside out, the monk from Neuzelle, who talks about his life in the monastery after a tour of the resort, the captain who sails the guests across the Schwielochsee and reveals one or two exciting anecdotes, the Schlaubetal hotel manager, who talks about his passion for the region over a cozy fire bowl, the forester, who not only knows his way around the forest but also about game, or the tourism experts from Wendisch Rietz, who invite you on a hike through the resort followed by a mulled wine snack. Museumspark Rüdersdorf, the Lunik in Eisenhüttenstadt, the historic streetcar and St. Mary's Church in Frankfurt (Oder), the Weather Museum in Lindenberg, the Streleburgen castles in Beeskow and Storkow, the Hof-Theater in Bad Freienwalde and the museum in Strausberg are just some of the many places to explore over 24 days.
And the best thing is that you don't have to wait until the campaign day to look behind the door, you can plan your adventurous Advent season now. After all, anticipation is the greatest joy – especially at Christmas.
