The Drei Eichen visitor center in Buckow (Märkische Schweiz) is hosting an activity day on 25 January with the theme "Wild herb cooking - pottery - handicrafts - spinning & painting" for young and old. The elf workshop invites you to thread, color, glue and design. In the pottery, Isaak Baubkus offers visitors the opportunity to get to know the material clay in a playful way and make any object they like. Visitors can learn how to prepare sheep's wool and spin it with a spinning wheel and hand spindle spinning.
The Drei Eichen Environmental Center is located in the middle of the Märkische Schweiz Nature Park, surrounded by forests, moors and lakes. It therefore offers a unique setting for the programs and events of the wilderness school Wildniswissen. The aim is to sensitize people of all ages to nature in order to strengthen their connection to the world around them.
In the last 10 years, many school classes have been inspired by nature. The Youth Scout Camp takes place every year during the summer vacations. Wildniswissen has held a variety of events, such as the free seminars for adults as well as further training for clubs and other organizations, and runs several courses each year.
