Christmas time is just around the corner - a time of reflection, family and homecoming. During these special weeks, when the emotional ties to home are particularly tangible, the Oder-Spree district invites you to send a RückCARE package to loved ones far away for the festive season. A gesture that says: "Come back home."
"It would be so nice if you were back here" - this heartfelt message is at the heart of the campaign. The RückCARE parcel is more than just a parcel; it is a tangible piece of home that is intended to awaken the longing for the familiar surroundings and the loved ones who stayed here.
The campaign, which was launched at the beginning of the year, has already borne fruit: numerous parcels have been sent and the first former residents have been welcomed back to the Oder-Spree district. The parcel is often just the impetus - the decisive force is the emotional connection to family and home.
It is precisely this connection that we would like to emphasize once again in the run-up to Christmas. With the distribution and dispatch of the last RückCARE packages, the project is now entering its final stage.
Our welcome and returnee initiative supports returnees and new arrivals in (re)arriving - from finding accommodation and a place in a daycare center to other practical issues. The aim is to make the wish for a life back home a reality.
The remaining RückCARE packages are handed out unsealed so that they can be completed with personal lines, a small gift or cookies - as a very personal message with the hope of a reunion.
