Knight tournaments and a huge medieval market spectacle attract visitors from near and far to Spandau Citadel for the 19th time at Easter. From 4 to 6 April 2026 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., market traders, knights, jugglers, acrobats and minstrels await the people for market hustle and bustle and entertainment.
In the morning, brave knights from "Midgard's Fire League" fight for glory and honor with shield, axe and morning star and fearsome battle cries. But don't worry, they just want to play!
For the first time, "KELTANIA" will be playing to set the mood for an entertaining day. Celtic music can also be experienced. Whether it's a tender love song or rousing pieces on bagpipes and drums – it's time to celebrate, dance and sing along! Perhaps you'll need some refreshment beforehand, with hearty and sweet treats from the grill, pan and oven, and courage with the help of mead and barley juice? So young and old alike can experience the fun and acrobatics of "Opus Furore".Medieval sounds mixed with pulsating, sometimes rocking rhythms, played on numerous medieval instruments will leave no one sitting on their seats
In the meantime, knights from "Heimdall's Heirs" have gathered on the tournament grounds with their proud steeds to fight in a tournament for the liberation of Spandau Citadel. The brave knights compete in a wide variety of disciplines, such as helmet-slaying, archery, spear throwing, lance fights man against man and riding through the fire, and are cheered on by the visitors.
In the evening, fakir and fire shows enchant the spectators, and the mystical fire-riding show makes eyes light up and mouths open in amazement. At the end of each day, the musicians give tavern concerts on the main stage with "KELTANIA", followed by the tavern fire spectacle of "Opus Furore" with a mystical fire show.
As in previous years, admission to the citadel exhibitions and the tower visit is already included in the entrance fee (except for the bat cellar).
