Talk evening with artists at Gallery B on January 30

As part of the exhibition "Frankfurter Gesichter in der Artothek", a discussion with artists will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 5 p.m. in Galerie B, Lindenstraße 4: Using different techniques, intentions and modes of expression, the predominantly regional artists depicted portraits and people during the GDR era.

During the evening of talks, the artists will give an insight into their work at that time and today. Beforehand, the exhibition can be visited from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Magdalena Scherer, the staff member responsible at the cultural office, will offer guided tours of the exhibition during opening hours and explain the possibilities of image lending using the digital Artothek.

The Artothek was founded in the early 1990s from the holdings of the Building Department for Visual Arts and Monument Conservation and the Center for Artistic Workshops. Today, interested citizens, local companies and institutions have the opportunity to borrow works of art from the collection.
