In order to get into conversation with local people, answer burning questions and discuss controversial topics, District Administrator Frank Steffen is offering a new citizens' talk format in the Oder-Spree district with "Ask the District Administrator".
The citizens' talk will kick off on November 28, 2024 at 4 p.m. in the Bethanien shared accommodation in Beeskow.
With the expansion of the accommodation for refugees in Beeskow by the Oder-Spree district from 41 to 94 places at the end of the year, District Administrator Frank Steffen will be answering questions from citizens on the topic of migration and integration.
- Why are new accommodations being built even though it is not clear how many people are coming?
- How many foreigners live in Beeskow? How are they integrated?
- If more foreigners come to Beeskow, will crime increase?
In addition to District Administrator Frank Steffen, Mayor Robert Czaplinski will also be present to answer questions.
The Citizens' Talk is intended to be an open exchange that focuses on opinions and questions. Citizens will have the opportunity to find out more and express any concerns.
The Oder-Spree district is looking forward to a lively turnout and constructive dialog.
