The mathematical, scientific and technical special school Carl Friedrich Gauß, Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 52, is holding an open day on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Parents, especially those with children in 4th and 6th grade, are invited to attend.

Children in year 6 who are interested in enrolling at Gauß-Gymnasium have the opportunity to take the mandatory aptitude test without having to register in advance.
The educational concept of the MINT Excellence Center is based on the school's established profile, which includes the search for and targeted support of interested, gifted and highly talented children. In doing so, it can draw on extensive experience, starting in the Student Research Center from grade 3 through to top-level support in the performance centers of the upper secondary school.
The teachers working at Gauß-Gymnasium have a high level of professional expertise and qualified skills in promoting gifted students. Graduates of this state school take Brandenburg's central examinations to obtain general education qualifications.
As a certified member of the MINT-EC national excellence school network, the special school is also the awarding body for the MINT certificate, which documents the intensive and in-depth education of graduates beyond the school-leaving certificate.
The grammar school is connected to a boarding school that is pedagogically aligned with the school's profile, run by the Internationaler Bund, so that children from all over the state of Brandenburg can study at Gauß-Gymnasium. The boarding school is located near the school building (a ten-minute walk) and can also be visited.
Further information can be found on the school's website.
