About the film: In their film "Kein Land für Niemand", directors Max Ahrens and Maik Lüdemann ask about the political and social movements that rely on isolation and deterrence in migration policy. However, the film also accompanies the counter-movements - for example during rescue operations in the Mediterranean. In conversations with refugees, activists, academics and journalists, the filmmakers focus on the protection of refugees and call for the radicalization of the migration and asylum debate to be questioned. In its review of the film, the Frankfurter Rundschau wrote: "The shift to the right, which so often leaves people speechless, is countered by almost two hours of concentrated facts, bewilderment and empathy."
