The year comes to a fairytale end at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum: On New Year's Eve afternoon, the classic "Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel" can be experienced as a cinematic sand painting, accompanied by the well-known music and a narrator.
The story of a princess hidden behind ashes and hunting paraphernalia is an enchanting adventure in a snowy winter landscape. With the help of three hazelnuts, a gift from fate, Cinderella not only wins the prince's attention, but also his heart. The popular, fairytale-like story with Nicholas the white horse, Punch the dog, Rosalie the owl and a row of white doves is depicted as a sand painting, including the lost shoe on the Moritzburg castle steps.
