From October 20 to 22, the art festival lAbiRynT conquers different places in the double city Frankfurt (Oder)-Słubice. The Kleist Forum is not only a cooperation partner of the cross-border festival of contemporary art, but also offers on Saturday and Sunday space for installations, performances and video art.

"Hymn" by Gisela Weimann and Ellen Hünigen is an artistic homage to the Association of Berlin Women Artists, founded in 1867, which provided space for artistic creation at a time when women were not admitted to art academies and few found access to the regular art market. From 27 manuscripts by women artists of the time, musical scores were made and arranged into music. Assembled and printed on fabric panels, the manuscripts and the score, as well as the wearer of the garment made from them, were transformed into a living sheet of music.

Transformation is a key element in the sound installations of Swedish artist Anna Lindkvist. In the piece "Ilma II," a chain reaction is triggered by compressed air and transformed into a sound work through physical and electronic processes. The installation is a complex technical work that is stunning both visually and in terms of its transformative dance with elements choreographed and directed by the artist.

The exhibition "Antimatter" features cinematic and film-related realizations by students from the four studios of experimental film at the University of Fine Arts Poznań.

The presentation "Open Space" by students and graduates of the National Academy of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź is dedicated to the individual factors that give meaning to a space.

Admission is free.
