This year, the Oderland-Spree start-up partners working group is once again looking for committed entrepreneurs who have successfully implemented their business idea. To this end, the initiative presented the Founder Award 2024 at the East Brandenburg Founder & Entrepreneur Day in Strausberg on June 6.
The prize is endowed with up to EUR 2,500. The amount can be split between two prizes. In addition, the winner will receive a media prize from rbb Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg, which is linked to an individual and high-profile presentation of the winning company.
With the Founder Award 2024, the Oderland-Spree start-up partners want to recognize entrepreneurial courage and skill. At the same time, the award for a successful start-up is intended to encourage people to consider the step into self-employment as a perspective for their own employment biography. The award ceremony will take place on November 21.
Anybody who founded a viable business as their main or secondary occupation between January 1, 2021 and July 31, 2023 in the districts of Oder-Spree, Märkisch-Oderland or in the city of Frankfurt (Oder) can take part. People who have taken the step into self-employment as part of a business succession are also invited to apply. There are no restrictions with regard to the type of business or sector. The closing date for applications is 31.07.2024. A jury made up of the 15 members of the working group will decide who will be awarded the prize. Anyone wishing to recommend a company for the 2024 Founder's Prize can inform the working group up to two weeks before the application deadline.
