On Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 5 p.m., the exhibition "Eeny, meeny, moo – Children's play in Brandenburg" will open at the Viadrina Museum.

Numerous photos, game reports and materials as well as historical games will be on display - from the Uckermark to Lusatia, from Prignitz to the Neumark, which has been part of Poland since 1945.

From the Middle Ages to the present day, the historical changes in children's games, which have resulted from economic and technological developments as well as political upheavals from the German Empire to the present day, are discussed.

Photographs, picture shows, eyewitness accounts and regional historical toys allow visitors to relive their own childhood and bring back memories.

Visitors can get active themselves at several play stations and try out or rediscover the various play options.

The exhibition, which can be seen until March 3, 2024, was designed by Dr. Lothar Binger and Susann Binger. Lothar Binger and Susann Hellemann M.A. and was created as part of Kulturland Brandenburg.
