Shortly before the 70th Eurovision Song Contest is held in Vienna, the ERUAvision Song Contest will take place on Thursday, 7 May at 7 p.m. on the studio stage of the Kleist Forum. Solo artists and music groups from Italy, France, Spain, Bulgaria, Germany and Lithuania will create a musical evening with their self-produced songs. The audience in the room and in the livestream as well as a jury of judges from all participating countries will vote on the best performance.
The evening is the brainchild of students from the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), in which the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) works together with seven other European universities. The candidates will take part in an intensive workshop programme in Frankfurt (Oder) from Saturday, 2 May. Together, they will work on their stage presence, learn about marketing strategies, sing in a choir and record their songs professionally.
The project is being financed with EU project funds from ERUA. As part of a fund for student projects, students within the alliance can regularly apply for funding for their idea.
