On Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11.00 a.m., the children's library at Collegienstraße 10 invites you to the final event of the project "Wörterwelten. Reading and writing with authors"

For a year, children from the Bambi daycare center in Frankfurt (Oder) worked together with illustrator and author Isabel Pin on poems, stories and illustrations. Among other things, they were out and about on the Ziegenwerder and in the wildlife park and processed their experiences in nature in texts and pictures.

In November, a book entitled "Listen to what the animals whisper to you" was published by Mitteldeutscher Verlag, in which the results of the work of the children from the Bambi daycare center are printed. This book will now be presented to the public on December 14 at the Frankfurt Children's Library. An exhibition with original pictures by the children will also be opened. This will be on display until 14 February 2025.

The project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the "Kultur macht stark. Bündnisse für Bildung" program, has several partners involved. In addition to the Bambi daycare center and the City and Regional Library, these were the Friedrich Bödecker Circle in the State of Brandenburg and the Federal Association of Friedrich Bödecker Circles.
