Last week, at the invitation of the Alliance for Family Frankfurt (Oder), the first Alliance Dialogue of the Local Alliances for Family in the Oderland-Spree region took place. Representatives from Storkow, Beeskow, Grünheide, Bad Freienwalde and Frankfurt (Oder) as well as colleagues from the supra-regional coordination office for local alliances for families in the state of Brandenburg, which provides the alliances with numerous support services, gathered in the Hansa Hall of the Bolfrashaus in Frankfurt (Oder).

At the "Oderland-Spree" alliance dialog, the members of the alliances exchanged their experiences and collected ideas and suggestions for future work. The content of the local work varies and depends on both personnel and financial capacities. All participants agreed that the connection to the local economy and local employers is also very important. After all, family-friendly companies and good working conditions give people long-term prospects in the Oderland-Spree region and secure a local workforce.

Mayor Claus Junghanns: "Regional cooperation with the districts is a high priority for the city of Frankfurt (Oder). With the networking meeting of the family alliances from Märkisch-Oderland and Oder-Spree, we want to pool experiences and intensify the exchange so that the Oderland-Spree region is perceived as an attractive and family-friendly region with strong networks for families."

This year, the local alliances for families in Germany are celebrating their 20th anniversary. There are around 40 alliances for families in Brandenburg in total.
