In the context of the HALBE STADTansichten exhibition and its accompanying program, Frankfurt residents have had the opportunity in recent weeks to engage with the development of the residential area. Residents of different generations designed their own models to show how they see the residential area or what they want for the HALBE STADT.

In a photographic discovery tour, residents sought postcard motifs to send greetings from the HALF TOWN and to present their view of the residential area. In addition, tours were conducted on the topics of history, housing and current urban development. In addition, a small socio-spatial survey was conducted.

With the help of the collected results, the current use of the room will be opened up and the exhibition on the history of the building will be enriched with this further information and collected stories, experiences and materials. The results of these and other events will be shown in the expanded exhibition HALBE STADTansichten in St. Mary's Church from September 16, 2023.

The events are organized by the Institute for Applied History e.V.. The project is a cooperation between the Institute for Applied History e.V. and the Cultural Office Frankfurt (Oder). The project takes place within the framework of the theme year "Baukultur leben - Kulturland Brandenburg 2023". The events are sponsored by Democracy live!, the neighborhood management, the individual project funding and the Sparkasse Oder-Spree.
