In Frankfurt (Oder) it is for the 8th time from 1 to 21 September at the STADTRADELN about sustainable mobility, exercise, climate protection and team spirit. The goal: In teams for three weeks as much as possible bike and collect kilometers for the city - whether on the way to work, to school, to shop or in your spare time.

Last year, 719 cyclists in more than 60 teams participated in Frankfurt (Oder) and achieved a total of 127,0242 km.

Who lives Frankfurt (Oder), works, belongs to a club or attends school/university can register online at www.stadtradeln.de/radlerbereich. It is possible to join an existing team or create your own. Subteams can also be formed. For example, school classes or office departments can compete with each other.

In the action period it is called then: Each step into the pedals counts. With the free STADTRADELN app, participants can track the cycled distances via GPS and directly credit their team and the city. The results overview shows at a glance where the team and the city stand. In the team chat, members can arrange joint tours or cheer each other on.

Bicyclists can help the administration become even more bicycle-friendly. With the reporting platform RADar! there is the possibility of making attentive over the STADTRADELN App or via Internet (www.radar-online.net) on lack and dangerous places at cycle tracks. Simply place a pin on the digital road map, with a description of the dangerous spot, and the relevant department in the administration will be informed automatically.

Mayor René Wilke, who himself enjoys cycling, invites people to join in: "The STADTRADELN competition is a fixed date in our city's calendar this year as well. Whether the tour into the countryside, the daily commute in the city or the trip in the evening to the concert: Every kilometer by bike burns calories, lets you experience the city in a new way and protects the environment and climate. Cycle with us!"
