With depth of thought and a lot of humor, fairy-tale adventures and bizarre encounters, Mozart's "Magic Flute" tells of the search for great love and is one of the best-known and most popular operas. A few days ago, the new production celebrated its premiere at the Cottbus State Theater, on April 28 and 30 it can be seen in Frankfurt's Kleist Forum.

The multi-faceted production tells the story as a retrospective: Pamina and Tamino review their life together at the end of their days. It quickly becomes clear that their relationship has long been broken, marked by abuse of power and assault by the husband. How could this have happened? In the face of his death, three ladies give old Tamino a chance to start all over again. With the "enchantingly beautiful" image of Pamina before his eyes, he must ask himself how she could later become an angry, vengeful woman and end in bitterness. He must save this young girl - above all from herself. An opulent experience with lavish costumes, breathtaking voices and an energetic orchestra.

To the culinary pleasure becomes the opera evening on Friday already starting from 18 o'clock with the theater menu. The guests expect a seasonal menu, consisting of two or three courses and on request also vegetarian, in the theater restaurant Schroffensteins.
