A new online portal from the Federal Employment Agency (BA) has been up and running since the start of the year at www.mein-now.de. With "meinNOW", people in employment, employers, the unemployed and further training providers have a central entry point for all topics relating to further vocational training. "meinNOW" offers orientation and information and makes the topic of continuing vocational training accessible to all interested parties digitally and in one place on the Internet.

The new national online portal for continuing vocational training – meinNOW for short – refers to state-specific and also nationwide offers. It bundles information on many vocational training courses, funding and counselling opportunities as well as tests for professional orientation.

"Digitalization and transformation mean that the world of work is changing faster than ever before. Up-to-date knowledge and good professional qualifications are important for individual opportunities and development possibilities, including here in East Brandenburg. "meinNOW" makes it much easier to find a suitable qualification to open up new perspectives and career paths," says Jochem Freyer, Head of the Employment Agency in Frankfurt (Oder).

The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS) initiated the project as part of the National Continuing Education Strategy (NWS) and is leading the development. Over the course of the year, further information from public continuing education portals will be integrated. Additional functions will also be activated in the new portal.
