On April 26, 2023, the working group "Rail Logistics" of the Logistics Network Berlin-Brandenburg (LNBB), consisting of representatives from trade, industry and site development, met for a practical exchange and networking on the topic of "rail and port infrastructures" in Ziltendorf and Eisenhüttenstadt.

The ideas and strategies for the further development of the Ziltendorf marshalling yard and the port of Eisenhüttenstadt were presented to those present.

The goal must be to move more goods from the road to the sustainable transport modes of rail and waterway.

The focus is also on linking existing commercial and industrial sites, as well as those to be developed, with the freight transport infrastructure to ensure a sustainable transport chain.
This topic is always in focus for the Regional Management Oderland-Spree and will therefore hold an information event on May 24,2023 on the topic of "Freight transport infrastructure in commercial and industrial land development" as part of their support services for municipalities.
