Press Date

On the occasion of FIKS 2023, a press meeting will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. at Brückenplatz, Carl-Philipp-Emanuel-Bach-Strasse 11, where the organizing team will present the program as well as the background of FIKS and will be available for discussions.

The FIKS aims to draw attention to the fact that global trade and global migration are closely linked. Fair trade as an alternative causes that producers in countries of the global South are paid more fairly and their products are brought to market under fairer conditions. This improves the economic situation of people in these countries and reduces migration. At the same time, Fair Trade gives consumers in Germany access to high-quality products from other countries that have been produced under ethical and increasingly ecological aspects.

The FIKS is organized by the integration network THINK and subsidized by funds from the integration budget of the city of Frankfurt (Oder).
