In addition to the close cooperation with the city and municipality of Słubice, Frankfurt (Oder) maintains an exchange with nine European municipalities (Gorzów Wielkopolski (PL), Heilbronn (DE), Nîmes (FR), Vantaa (FI), Vratsa (BG), Schostka (UA) and the district of Słubice (PL), two cities outside Europe (Kadima-Zoran, IL and Yuma, Arizona, US) and several European twin cities such as Haparanda-Tornio (SE-FI), Chaves-Verin (PT-ES) and Gorizia-Nova Gorica (IT-SI)). There are currently particularly regular contacts with the twin city of Shostka in Ukraine.

The city's international cooperation is based on the "Report on International Cooperation of the City of Frankfurt (Oder) – Activities 2010–2020 and Outlook on Priorities 2021–2030" and is largely coordinated by the Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Center and supported together with municipal institutions, companies, associations and civil society actors.

The cooperation is diverse and covers the areas of youth work and exchange, culture, sport and tourism. Since 1999, the annual "Summer Camp of the Twin Cities" organized by Pewobe gGmbH has made a significant contribution to the continuity of contacts.

The city supports the work of those involved in international cooperation. In particular, it welcomes and promotes meetings and cultural events with the partner cities.

Invitation to exchange

At the beginning of the year, the cooperation center would like to present its current projects in this area and talk to the actors of international cooperation about their annual priorities and possible cooperation on events with a characteristic reference to partner cities.

Therefore, the team invites you to an exchange at the Frankfurt-Słubice Cooperation Center, Bolfrashaus, Bischofstraße 1a on Tuesday, 13 February 2024 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
