2nd Round Table "Sustainable Industrial Estates"

The second meeting of the Round Table "Sustainable Industrial Estates" dealt with the planning and design of the event format.

As a result, it was agreed that the round table should be dedicated to communicating the benefits of paying attention to sustainability aspects in the planning of industrial estates, as well as the transfer of knowledge and the promotion of exchange between municipalities. Within the framework of sectoral in-depth topics, the participating network municipalities are to present concrete plans and projects in the field of industrial estate development and report on measures and challenges in the context of sustainable development. The in-depth topics include efficient land development, climate protection and adaptation, energy supply (EEG), (passenger and freight) transport, environmental and nature conservation, water management, social infrastructure, economic development of municipalities, funding opportunities and compensation and replacement measures. From now on, specific topics and issues of the network municipalities in the context of the sustainable design of industrial estates are to be discussed within the framework of the round table and intensified, for example, by linking them to a subject-oriented site inspection.
