A turbulent comedy operetta about the world of beautiful appearances can be seen on 27 and 29 October in Frankfurt's Kleist Forum.

In "Fairy Tale in the Grand Hotel" Marylou, the daughter of a Hollywood producer, wants to save the ailing company of her father and has concocted an ingenious plan for this: a film about the entanglements of the European high nobility should attract the American audience in the cinemas. The film stars the Spanish Infanta Isabella. Isabella lives in exile with her court and is staying luxuriously at the Grand Hotel in Cannes. Because the aristocracy is threatened with running out of money, the film adventure comes just in time. If only the annoying room waiter Albert would not be, which makes despite lowest origin of the Infantin constantly and importunately the court ...

For his production of "Fairy Tale in the Grand Hotel" at the Cottbus State Theater, internationally renowned director and choreographer Otto Pichler pulls out all the stops: from comedy to modern musical to grand revue with snappy dance numbers and a musical melange of waltz sounds, Hungarian violins, tango, jazz, Charleston and swing. Cheeky, frivolous and with a lot of charm.
