Mozart's most famous melodies meet breakdance, techno beats and hip-hop – the Austrian composer, who is considered as ingenious as he is rebellious and ahead of his time, would certainly have enjoyed this energetic mix. On December 13, the successful crossover show "Breakin' Mozart" can be seen at Frankfurt's Kleist Forum.

In a highly entertaining way, Berlin conductor and Klassik Echo award-winner Christoph Hagel combines the music of the child prodigy with the award-winning artistry of the Bavarian Dancefloor Destruction Company (DDC). The dancers are European champions and two-time world champions in breakdancing and have been causing a sensation with their style and unusual stage shows for several years. In "Breakin' Mozart", they deliver a dance show to classical orchestral recordings, contemporary hip-hop arrangements as well as pieces interpreted live on the piano and sung arias, including from "The Magic Flute", "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Don Giovanni".

A great show that fans of breathtaking artistry and modern beats will enjoy just as much as anyone who loves classical music. Elegant, daring, simply captivating.
